A trip down memory lane

Hey!

I got this idea from Ilans blog so make sure you check out his blog.

Over the past 10 years programs on the television have changed. I loved watching my favourite programs everyday before school.

Some of them don’t come on anymore, others do.

Today I’m going to share some of programs I used to watch. 😀 To make it interesting, I will talk about them too.

BOB THE BUILDER

Bob The Builder was first aired right here in the UK many years ago. Since then it has become global in places such as India and the US. It changed since it first screened and now in the modern shows, features new characters. There is also a smash-hit theatre play of Bob The Builder! Find out more about Bob The Builder by clicking here.

Here is a clip of the titles for the show. They are pretty much the same today.

BEAR IN THE BIG BLUE HOUSE

Haters of the modernised Disney Channel look away. Bear In The Big Blue House is a really awesome show which doesn’t air anymore here in the UK. It aired on the Disney Channel. To find out more about BITBBH click here.

Here is a fun clip of the titles of the show!

BLUE PETER

This is an interesting show. It is a “magazine show” which means it keeps you entertained and up-to-date. I used to hate watching this show and one day I began watching it. I watched it from then on, and since 2008, it became very modern. Many people hate the modernised version like I hate it. It’s too weird. It’s been around for 50 years! To find out more about Blue-Peter click here.

Take a look at how the theme tunes have changed over the years!; I must say I LOVE the theme tune in 2005. That one was amazing. It starts at 03:56sec:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That is all I have to “show” you.
I hope it was interesting =]
I miss those shows. Those days were the good days. I miss them, but I also like watching new shows too.
What are your favourite shows from the past or today? Leave a link to a video so I can see 😀
  1. This was a great post. I participated in one just like it on another blog. Not IIans. It was a great trip down memory lane for all of us. Most of us shared the same memories. I think we all identified with Scooby Doo, Ren & Stimpy, Dog Cat, Alf, Doug, Rugrats, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego (AKA.. Where in the hell is Carmen? ROFL). And who can forget Sponge Bob? Not me! Oh, and of course, Dora the Explorer dubbed as the illegal alien. XD!
    Bob the Builder, “Can we fix it…. no I can’t”! Conflict resolution was not in my vocab then. XD! Bear in the Big Blue House… finger poppin’ music! Never heard of the last show. That airwave must not have reached our antenna. 😛 We have huge trees all around our house. 😆
      • FYI
        IMMIGRANT: In popular usage, an “immigrant” is generally understood to be a person who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residence. Under this definition, therefore, an “immigrant” is an alien admitted to the U.S. as a lawful permanent resident. The emphasis in this definition is upon the presumptions that (1) the immigrant followed U.S. laws and procedures in establishing residence in our country; (2) he or she wishes to reside here permanently; and (3) he or she swears allegiance to our country or at least solemnly affirms that he/she will observe and respect our laws and our Constitution.
        ALIEN: By contrast, an “alien” is generally understood to be a foreigner — a person who comes from a foreign country — who does not owe allegiance to our country.
        ILLEGAL ALIEN: An “illegal alien” is a foreigner who (1) does not owe allegiance to our country; and (2) who has violated our laws and customs in establishing residence in our country. He or she is therefore a criminal under applicable U.S. laws.
        The term “illegal alien” is used by U.S. citizens who believe that non-citizens entering our country must comply with our immigration laws.
        The term “illegal alien” is predicated upon U.S. immigration law which requires foreigners entering the U.S. to comply with our country’s rules and laws regarding entry into, and residence within, our country.
